The Origin of the Species Project was a collaboration between Art class and Biology, we created a piece of art that reflects off of Charles Darwin's book "Origin of the Species" . I chose to create my art piece using the idea of "Clustered, Regularly, Interspaced, Short, Palindromic, Repeats (CRISPR).CRISPR was a topic that I researched extensively over my semester of taking Biology, Charles Darwin's book focused on the idea of genetics. CRISPR and Origin of the Species have a correlation because Darwin focused on the idea of genetics focuses on the idea of gene editing and CRISPR bases most work off of Darwin's. Over the years we have been making innovations that allows us to better understand genetics and we are now reaching the point in which we can alter it. The idea of CRISPR is simply just another piece of technical innovation that we developed to help us examine genetics and DNA.
